The parents of a man who allegedly killed four family members in Bomet County have come out to seek forgiveness for their son’s actions.
While condemning the heinous act, the mother and father of the suspect extended their deepest sympathies as the incident robbed them of their two grandchildren.
Addressing the media, the mother of the suspect, Sally Maritim asked for forgiveness for the action of her son.
“Robert is my child. I say sorry for the death of my children. I loved both of them. Whatever that he has done I plead for forgiveness,” she said.
The father also noted that he is still coming into terms with what led to the disagreement between Robert – the suspect leading to him killing their kin with a machete.
According to him, Robert has always been a god man and was always in good terms with his family.
“Sijui hii maneno yake ilifika wapi mpaka hao wakagombana kimaneno yao, saabu sielewi,” he stated.
This can be translated as ‘I dont understand what led to the argument which caused all this mess.’
