The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has released the 2025 placement results, placing candidates who sat for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in universities and colleges.
Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Ogamba released the placement results on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
962,512 candidates sat for the 2024 KCSE, with 246,391 students attaining the minimum university entry grade of C+ and above, translating to 25.3%.
CS Ogamba said the chances were enough to occupy all the candidates who sat for the 2024 KCSE and even the previous years.
He said the government is committed to expanding training opportunities to ensure youth acquire the necessary skills for the bottom-up transformation agenda.
The CS said 201,695, which is 83% applied for placement to various levels.
He said KUCCPS has placed 310,502 students in various programs in universities and colleges.
Out of the 244,391 who scored C+ and above in 2024, 194,372 have been placed to be programmes at various levels.
“The 2025 Placement Results are out! Check your placement now by visiting students.kuccps.net,” KUCCPS said.
How to Access Students KUCCPS Portal
Candidates can check their placement results through the KUCCPS portal.
Students who applied for placement can follow the procedure below to check placement results online.
Step 1: Visit the KUCCPS Website
Go to the official KUCCPS website: https://kuccps. net/.
Step 2: Access the Student Portal
Click on the “Student’ s Portal” link. https://students. kuccps. net/login/.
Step 3: Log in to Your Account
Use the following details to log in:
- KCSE Index Number
- KCSE Examination Year (e. g., 2024)
- Password: This is either your KCPE index number or your birth certificate number
Step 4: View Your Placement Results
Once logged in, you will see the name of the institution you have been placed in and the course or programme you will pursue.
KUCCPS said it is updating the placement results on the Student’s Portal.
“This is ongoing and those whose results haven’t updated should keep refreshing,” KUCCPS said.

Results Sent Via SMS
KUCCPS is also sending placement results by SMS to applicants.
Some students have already received while others have not.
“Be sure to enable promotional messages on your phone to avoid missing out,” KUCCPS added
Application Schedule and Deadlines
KUCCPS opened the application portal for degree courses on 28 March.
The deadline was April 21, but it was extended by a week.
On May 31, KUCCPS reopened the application system for the second revision of university, college, and programme choices to allow form-four graduates who had not applied for courses or those who applied but were unsuccessful.

The system was closed on 7 June 2025.
The online application system was reopened between 18th and 27th May 2025 for revision of choices for placement of students to universities and colleges.
This was aimed at applicants who did not secure a course in the initial application that ended on 30 April.
