Under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum, Humanities is a primary track within the Social Sciences Pathway, which some Grade 10 learners choose as they transition to senior schools.
The subject is designed to develop learners’ understanding of society, governance, and human behavior, with a focus on ethics, culture, and environmental awareness.
On the other hand, Business Studies is an optional learning area within the Social Sciences Pathway. The curriculum is designed to move beyond theoretical knowledge towards the practical application of business competencies.
On Tuesday, December 23, the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) published a list of approved Curriculum Support Materials for Grade 10 learners.
