Mary Chebukati Wanyonyi, the spouse of the late and former Chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Wafula Chebukati, has been nominated for the State Awards.
In a notice issued on October 7, Mary Chebukati was named among 60 individuals, including Members of Parliament (MPs).
“It is notified to the general public that the parliamentary Honours Advisory Committee has proposed the persons listed for conferment of the corresponding National Honours and Awards,” read the notice.
Mary currently serves as the Chairperson of the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA).
According to the notice, members of the public may submit their views or objections to the Joint Secretariat, Parliamentary Honours Advisory Committee, via email at [email protected] on or before October 13 at 5:00 p.m.
