The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported ongoing heavy losses for Russian forces as of March 25, 2026.
In the past 24 hours alone, Ukraine reported an additional 1,220 Russian personnel eliminated.
Equipment losses over the same period included six tanks, three armored fighting vehicles, 23 cruise missiles, 51 artillery systems, 196 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 2,459 UAVs.
Since the start of the conflict, Russian forces have lost approximately 1,290,960 personnel, 6,435 aircraft, 11,812 tanks, 350 helicopters, and 24,277 armored fighting vehicles.
In addition, 4,514 cruise missiles, 38,297 artillery systems, and 1,696 multiple launch rocket systems have been destroyed.
Naval losses include 33 warships and 2 submarines, while the number of air defense systems destroyed is estimated at 1,336 units.
Ground logistics have also been hit, with 85,151 vehicles and fuel tanks destroyed. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) account for 196,351 losses, alongside 4,098 units of other specialized equipment.
Ukraine Reports Heavy Russian Losses in Past Weeks
On March 23, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported an intensification of Russian attacks along multiple sectors of the front, with Russian forces suffering over 6,000 casualties in just four days.
Syrskyi attributed the escalation to improved weather conditions, which allowed Moscow to increase offensive operations across several areas simultaneously.
“With the shift in weather, the Russian aggressor has intensified pressure along several frontlines,” he said.
According to Syrskyi’s account, Russian losses from last week coming to this week surpassed 6,000 personnel, including both killed and wounded.

He also added that the number of daily combat engagements had consistently exceeded 200 in recent days, indicating a renewed Russian push despite heavy battlefield attrition.
The Ukrainian commander stressed that Ukrainian forces were not only maintaining defensive positions but were, in certain areas, reclaiming territory in response to the assaults.
A report by CSIS in January 2026 estimated that from February 2022 to December 2025, Ukraine likely endured between 500,000 and 600,000 casualties, including an estimated 100,000 to 140,000 killed in action.

Putin Rains Down 1,260 Aerial Bombs on Ukraine in Just 7 Days
On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin has intensified attacks on the Ukrainians with over 1,260 aerial bombs hitting regions in Ukraine in just 7 Days.
Additionally, nearly 1,550 drone attacks have been launched by Russia against Ukraine, as reported by the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the president of Ukraine, Russia is financing the war against Iran through the increased sale of crude oil due to the easing of the sanctions.
The United States (US) had earlier issued a 30-day waiver of Russian oil sanctions amid the ongoing war in Iran.
Zelenskyy commented on the waiver, stating that the easing of the sanctions could provide Russia with approximately $10 billion for the war.
