An Israeli missile struck a building in Gaza amid a recent escalation of fighting in the region.
The attack, which occurred on September 8, 2025, saw Israel bomb 30 multi-storey buildings in Gaza and a house in Shati camp, west of Gaza City, leaving several people dead and others injured, while at least 25 remain missing.
Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, has warned of further devastation in Gaza City after announcing that the military had targeted 30 multi-storey buildings.
He declared that unless Hamas surrenders its weapons and frees all captives, Gaza would face complete destruction.
The death toll in Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn has risen to 14.
Israel Strikes Gaza City as Military Warns of New Offensive
The attack comes after the Israeli military urged Gaza City residents to evacuate south to a designated “humanitarian zone” in Al-Mawasi, warning of an imminent offensive to seize control.
Netanyahu had earlier declared that the country intended to take control of the entire Gaza Strip, but the current plan focuses only on Gaza City.
According to the military, IDF will move to seize Gaza City while at the same time providing humanitarian assistance to civilians outside the combat zones.
