Businessman and car dealer Joseph Kairo Wambui, popularly known as Khalif Kairo, has announced that the United States government has verified his pilot license.
In a statement on Saturday, November 1, 2025, Kairo said he will soon be eligible to fly planes in the US or any US-registered aircraft worldwide.
“The US Federal Aviation Administration has just verified my pilot’s license, which means I will soon legally be able to fly planes in the U.S. or U.S.-registered aircraft anywhere on earth,” the statement read.
Kairo added that this is a major milestone for future Jetman Global clients who are sourcing or managing U.S.-registered aircraft.
The verification was coordinated through the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), which confirmed that Kairo’s foreign license is current, valid, and has not been surrendered, suspended, revoked, or expired. The FAA noted that the verification only confirms the authenticity and status of the license.
The FAA also clarified that, while Kairo’s foreign license has been verified, he must provide documentation showing that the ratings on his Kenyan license align with corresponding U.S. ratings under federal regulations. This review is typically conducted by the Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) or a Designated Examiner, ensuring foreign ratings meet U.S. standards.

Following the announcement, several people congratulated Kairo on social media.
A Kenyan X user by the name Mwakina wrote, “Keep shining, man. All the best. When everyone was against you, I remained firm and believed you’d bounce back. Congratulations.”
Another social media user by the name Benson Muchendo said, “I used to walk through Westlands Road, and opposite GTC, I could see JETMAN GLOBAL. Keep pushing, Kairo. JETMAN will be the next big thing.”
Ocheng Onyango commented, “Happy that you surmounted all your challenges. Very encouraging for us young guys.”
Vincent added, “This FAA endorsement is the key to operating U.S.-registered aircraft globally. It unlocks the market for @jetmanglobal. Next level achieved. Congratulations on the hard work.”
