Stanley Kinyanjui Biography
Stanley Kinyanjui, often referred to by many as the “Silent Billionaire,” is the co-founder of Magnate Ventures Limited, the company that dominates Kenya’s billboard industry with more than 1,230 outdoor advertising structures across the country.
His business acumen has helped him secure major contracts, build a powerful brand, and grow a vast empire valued at billions.
Kinyanjui and his brother, Robert Kinyanjui, founded Magnate Ventures in 1996 and officially began operations in 1997.
Career
In 1999, the duo acquired Kenya Neon and General Signs, one of Kenya’s oldest and best-equipped signage companies, a move that positioned them to build one of the strongest outdoor advertising and signage firms in the region.
For more than two decades, Magnate Ventures has specialised in strategic advertising development, printing, promotions, supply, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of indoor and outdoor billboards, signage, and promotional materials.

Over time, the company expanded beyond Kenya, establishing operations in South Sudan, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Today, Kinyanjui’s company commands 70% of the market in Nairobi, 90% in Mombasa, 60% in Kisumu, 63% in Eldoret, and 57% in Nakuru, giving advertisers unmatched regional coverage. His company, Magnate Ventures Limited, is well-known for its involvement in public procurement.
Education
Kinyanjui studied at Kibiku Primary School in Kabete before joining St. Mary’s School, one of Kenya’s most prestigious institutions whose alumni include retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, Jeff Koinange, Safina Party leader Jimmy Wanjigi and the late Youth Fund chair Bruce Odhiambo. Afterward, he joined the University of Nairobi.
During the 2022 General Election, many politicians sought his services, including William Ruto, whose campaign he supported with billboard placements while Ruto was Deputy President.
Beyond advertising, Kinyanjui has diversified into financial technology through Finberry Capital Limited, the company behind the Berry mobile loans app. Finberry Capital was registered on May 29, 2018.
The company is fully owned by Adept Capital Limited, incorporated on February 23, 2018. Kinyanjui, Robert Kamau Kinyanjui, and Magnate Securities Limited jointly own Adept Capital.
