Former Defense Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has broken his silence following the decision by President William Ruto to fire Cabinet Secretaries after dissolving his Cabinet.
Duale in a statement on Thursday, July 11, reacted to the announcement by thanking President Ruto for entrusting him with the role of a Cabinet Secretary.
He added that he will forever be indebted to the President and Kenyans for the opportunity, further adding a quote from the Holy book of Quaran
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency President William Ruto for entrusting me with the role of Cabinet Secretary for Defence in the first Kenya Kwanza Administration,” read the statement in part.
“I am deeply honored and will forever be indebted to him and the people of Kenya for this opportunity to serve our great nation. As the Quran says, “But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners” (Quran 8:30).”

Duale & Other CSs Fired After Ruto Dissolves Cabinet
The former MP was among the CSs who were affected by Ruto’s decision to sack Attorney General Justin Muturi and his entire Cabinet, with only Prime Cabinet Secretary (PCS) Musalia Mudavadi surviving.
Following the move by Ruto, State House has since removed all Cabinet Secretaries from its Website. The Kenya Times conducted a fact check confirming that all CSs have been removed from the website, with only President Ruto, DP Gachagua, PCS Mudavadi and Mercy Kiiru Wanjau, the secretary to the Cabinet, retained.
