Govt Bans Sale and Use of Drugs Approved by Indian Body

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) has announced a ban on the trade, distribution and sale of pharmaceutical products referenced to the Indian Pharmacopeia (IP) in Kenya.

In the notice, the PPB stated that the company is not registered therefore, it cannot legally operate in Kenya.

“The Indian Pharmacopeia (IP) is not under the purview of the drug registration requirements in the country,” read part of the statement.
