Speaking in an interview with Nixon Njau of The Kenya Times, Omondi said that in situations where threats like armed robbery, disruptions, or violent intrusions are rampant, a firearm can serve as a critical deterrent and a means of defense.
Further, security personnel protecting highly valued institutions, such as banks, jewelry stores, or VIPs, often face criminals who are armed, and without firearms, guards may be overpowered, leaving them and those they protect vulnerable.
