The Ministry of Public Service and Human Capital Development has invited applications from qualified people for the position of Driver 11, CSG 15 at the Ministry of Education.
In an advert on April 15, the Ministry said there are 200 vacancies available in all the 47 counties.

The jobs are on permanent and pensionable terms with a monthly salary of between Ksh19,340 and Ksh24,470.
They will be entitled to a house allowance as per region deployed and a commuter allowance of Ksh3,000 per month.

The drivers will also receive a leave allowance of Ksh4,000 per year.
There are 13 vacancies in Nairobi and 8 in Meru and Wajir

There are 13 vacancies in Nairobi.
Meru, Wajir, and Nakuru each have 8 positions, while Turkana, Kajiado, and Bungoma each have 7 each.
Additionally, Kitui, Mandera,Uasin Gishu Nandi and Machakos each have 6 vacancies.
West Pokot, Murang’a, Homa Bay, Kiambu, Baringo, Kwale, Narok and Vihiga each offer 5 positions.
Kakamega, Laikipia, Busia, Embu and have 4 openings each.
Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Garissa, Kilifi, Siaya, Kisii, Makueni, Isiolo, Nyamira, Migori, and Trans Nzoia each have 3 posts.
Counties with 2 positions include: Tana River, Mombasa, Kirinyaga, Taita Taveta, Nyandarua, Marsabit, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kisumu, Bomet, Samburu, and Kericho.
Lamu has 1 vacancy.

Ministry of Public Service Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade of D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- A Valid driving License free from any current endorsement (s) for class (es) of vehicle (s) an officer is required to drive.
- Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution.
- Passed Suitability Test for Grade III.
- Police Clearance Certificate.
- At least two (2) years driving Experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities will entail driving a motor vehicle as authorized and carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical, and brake systems.
Successful candidates will maintain work tickets and the cleanliness of the vehicles assigned.
They will also ensure security and safety for the vehicles on and off the road, passengers, and goods.
