Nation Media Group (NMG) PLC has announced vacancies in three counties. In an advert on Monday, December 16, NMG invited applications for the position of Courier Business Executive in available in Mombasa, Nakuru and Eldoret.
The Group described the job overview, responsibilities and the requirements.
According to Nation Media, the job holders will be responsible for selling, planning and coordinating courier services.
They will also supervise courier riders and agents in their areas, meet agreed individual courier revenue targets and ensure prompt debt collection.
Successful candidates will be reporting to the courier supervisor.
“We invite applicants who are result oriented, dynamic and self-driven with proven track records and attributes to excel in a highly competitive environment,” reads the advert in part.
Responsibilities
The job holders will perform the following responsibilities
1.Sourcing of courier business in line with the courier sales strategy.
2.Maximizing volume and revenue in cash sales and credit sales for increased profitability.
3.Maintaining good customer relations through regular customer visits and prompt resolution of customer queries.
4.Ensuring prompt debt collection within the agreed credit period.
5.Identifying and sourcing Courier Sales Agents.
6.Providing relevant market intelligence; and
5.Compiling and forwarding the daily, weekly and monthly sales and collection reports to the Courier Supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Interested candidates must meet the following academic and experience requirements.

1.Diploma in Sales and Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
2.Three (3) years’ experience in sales and marketing.
3.Experience in courier sales and operations will be an added advantage.
4.Report writing skills.
