The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has released a list of candidates shortlisted in an ongoing recruitment process after the vacancies were announced in June 2024.
The notice by DPP Renson Ingonga shared on Tuesday, November, 5 highlighted that the recruitment drive attracted thousands of applicants.
2,941 applications were received for the eleven vacant positions announced across different carders and departments.
Out of the applications received, only 96 candidates have been shortlisted.
ODPP further noted that the interviews for the shortlisted candidates will run from November 26 to December 6, 2024, at its headquarters and the Prosecution Training Institute– Loresho respectively.
Some of the notable positions with high application numbers were Accountant I and Information Communication Technology (ICT) Officer II with 1002 and 657 applications, respectively.
In contrast, only two applicants for Accountant I and one for ICT officer II were shortlisted.
ODPP shortlists applicants
Among other positions with huge number of applicants were Driver III (438), Senior Supply Chain Management Officer I (297), Senior Internal Auditor (232) and Chief Finance Officer with 90 applications.

Other posts that candidates have been shortlisted include Chief Internal Auditor, Senior Assistant Director, Public Communication, Assistant Director-Human Resource Development Officer, and Senior Principal Librarian.
Shortlisted candidates are expected to be at the venue at least half an hour (30 minutes) before starting time of their respective interviews.
Also, they are required to bring with them originals of the National Identity (ID) card, Academic and Professional Certificates and Transcripts.
Other originals required are letters of appointment to both the current substantive and previous posts, and any supporting documents and testimonials.

Additionally, successful candidates will be required to provide clearance certificates from listed bodies before appointment.
How to check shortlisted applicants and Requirements
These include certificates from the Law Society of Kenya – LSK, Higher Education Loans Board – HELB, Kenya Revenue Authority – KRA, Criminal Investigation Department – DCI, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC, and any other relevant Professional bodies to which the candidate is a member.
To check the full list of shortlisted candidates for the various posts, and the interview schedules indicating venue, time and date, applicants have been directed to visit the ODPP website www.odpp.go.ke.
