Open University of Kenya (OUK) has advertised 91 vacant positions within its administrative and academic departments.
In an advert on Tuesday June 4, OUK published the career opportunities with the minimum qualifications and the process of how interested candidates can apply.

“OUK invites qualified and interested applicants to serve in the positions listed below,” read the advert in part.
Within the Administrative department, openings range from Security Guard III (2 positions) to Support Staff II (2 positions), Clerical Officer II (2 positions) to Finance Officer (1 position).

Roles like Accountant and Senior Accounts Assistant II, Executive Secretary, Administration Officer I, and Human Resource Officer I & II were advertised requiring one candidate each.
Others include Senior Driver II, Driver I & II, Internal Auditor I, Assistant Procurement Officer, or Assistant Maintenance Officer.

Vacancies in Other Departments (UOK)
Also, in the Technology and ICT department, roles ranging from Technician (Electronics), ICT Officer, Assistant ICT Officer, Project Leader ICT, Principal ICT Officer to Chief ICT Officer are open for applications, aiming to recruit at least one candidate each.

Additionally, for those interested in legal matters, the Senior Legal Officer position is vacant.
In the Academic department, roles such as Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers and Tutorial Fellows are vacant waiting for individuals who are competent and can comfortably fill those positions.

Interested candidates and persons are requested to send their applications online through the links provided at the University website URL.
Applicants are also advised to attach the following details: Application Letter, a detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating (academic qualifications, professional experience, academic leadership, list of publications, awards, scholarships, funding, membership to professional associations or bodies and linkages, valid email addresses, telephone contacts), copies of certificates, National ID, and other testimonials.

Further, they are required to provide names, telephone numbers and contact addresses of three referees and ensure that the referees submit confidential reports on the applicant’s suitability for the post to the undersigned before the closure date.
Interested applicants should submit their applications so as to be received on or before 15th June 2024.
Also to note, any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
