Safaricom has announced internship opportunities for graduates to join its team through the annual internship program for the year 2024/25.
According to the giant telco, it will distribute successful interns across commercial, business development and technology functions.
Interested candidates are required to apply before February 26 and should have a bachelor’s degree in the specified fields.
The program will be categorized into two; 3 months industrial attachment for ongoing students, and 6 months internship for students who have completed school and awaiting graduation or having graduated within the last 12 months.
On the 6-month program, they broke down the intakes into two sections.
“The 6 months program will have 2 intakes – which are April and October 2024,” the company stated.

Requirements for Safaricom internship
Safaricom stated that the internship program is only for fresh graduates or students in their final year of study.
“We are looking for University students or recent graduate,” the statement read in part.
One must be in his /her final or second last year of degree program or having graduated with the last 12 months in an accredited institution of higher learning.
He /she must be on break from school during the internship period for any of the intakes within the year.
“Priority will be given to students with industrial attachment as a requirement to completion of the degree program,” the statement read.
Applicants must be available for the full period of the internship program which will be running from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
In addition, those interested are advised to select one intake in the year for which they will be available for the internship.

You have to fill the form before proceeding to apply for the post on the recruitment portal. Failure to fill in the form while submitting your application will lead to automatic disqualification.

To apply go to Safaricom website then select on careers and select internship program. Proceed to ‘apply now’ and continue with the process filling the appropriate data required at every stage.
“All applications must be submitted online during the respective application period. (We do not accept applications by email),” the statement read.
