Elijah Kururia Njoroge is the Member of Parliament for Gatundu North Constituency.
He was elected in 2022 as an independent candidate, making him the only Independent MP in Central Kenya at the time.
Before becoming an MP, he served as a Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Biashara ward in Ruiru, Kiambu County, from 2017 to 2022.

Elijah Kururia Njoroge earned a Diploma from St. Paul’s University between 2017 and 2019.
Concurrently, Noroge was enrolled at the University of Nairobi, where he completed a bachelor’s degree between 2017 and 2020.

Career life
Before entering national politics, Kururia served as the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Ruiru’s Biashara Ward in the Kiambu County Assembly from 2017 to 2022.
He contested the Gatundu North Parliamentary seat as an independent candidate in August 2022, winning with 30,799 votes, significantly ahead of his opponents Wanjiku Kibe and Francis Kigo.

Kururia quickly earned a reputation for bold and unconventional tactics, campaigning by helicopter and drawing large crowds in remote areas.
He was also acclaimed as the best performing MCA in the Mt. Kenya region in 2021.
