Edwin Gichuki Mugo is a Kenyan politician and a member of parliament representing Mathioya Constituency.
He was elected to represent his constituency in 2022 as a member of parliament, taking over from Clement Muchiri Wambugu.
In 2022, Gichuki won as the MP after being singled out by the voters from the 11 candidates who had thrown their hats into the ring.
He garnered 21,503 votes against his competitor, who came in a distant second at 8,700 votes.

Hon Gichuki Mugo attended his basic primary education in Bishop Mahiani Academy, where he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).

He later joined Njiiri school where he also sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) after completion of the four required years.
Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) confirmed MP Mugo as a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) and Member of ICPAK after having satisfactorily fulfilled the needed requirements.
To further his studies, Mugo joined the University of Nairobi, where he pursued his Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA –Finance Option).
From the year 2014 to 2021, he joined Kenya Medhodist University where he finally attained his PhD in Business Administration (Finance Option).

Gichuki Mugo is a professional and certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) and a Member of ICPAK.
Besides, he worked with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO Somalia) from 2006 to 2014 with progressive promotions.
From a finance assistant officer in 2007, and later to the finance officer. He then moved to to Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO South Sudan, where he served as the administrative officer.
