Biography
Ken Mijungu is a Kenyan journalist who has previously worked as a reporter and news anchor at K24, NTV, and KTN.
Until January 2025, Ken Mijungu was a Managing Editor for KTN News where he also worked as Editor/Programs Editor, News Anchor and Current affairs talk show host.
He has over 13 years of experience having started off at K24 TV, (Media Max) in 2008, CCTV Africa now CGTN, NTV Kenya, KTN NEWS Kenya and TV 47.
He was fired from TV 47 barely two weeks after being hired.
Education background of Ken Mijungu
Mijungu completed primary school at St. Joseph Ombo School. Later on, he joined Masen School for his secondary education from 1998 to 2001.

He passed and got a chance to join University to pursue higher education. As a college student, Ken studied Law at Moi University, Eldoret where he excelled graduating with second-class honours.
He is by training a lawyer from Moi University Eldoret Annex campus and a Public Policy master’s student at Kenyatta University.
Parallel to practising journalism, he runs a legal consultancy, and several businesses mostly founded on e-commerce.
Career
After graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree, he went to work for MediaMax Network Ltd, K24TV, for three years, and nine months.
While at K24TV, he took on several roles and new assignments such as a brand anchor business talk, news desk reporter, and talk show host.

In December 2012, Ken joined CCTV Africa as a reporter where he covered various assignments like the Mpila military base explosion in Congo Brazzaville, the London conference in Somalia, and several others.
After one year and three months, Ken left CCTV Africa and joined the Nation Media Group as a senior reporter where he worked for seven years.
One of his major accomplishments in NTV is as a host for Sidebar.
