Mark Nyamita is a Kenyan politician and a member of parliament representing Uriri Constituency in Migori County.
He is serving his second consecutive term as Member of Parliament for Uriri Constituency, Migori County.
Educational Background of Mark Nyamita
Between 1999 and 2004, Nyamita pursued a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
He later attended the University of Witwatersrand in 2007 for Young Talent Management.
He advanced his leadership acumen at Strathmore Business School, completing an MBA for Executives between 2008 and 2009.
In 2012, he attended the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where he completed a course in Advanced Management Program in General Management.
Career life
After graduation, he entered the corporate sector. From June 2004 to November 2005, Nyamita worked at Standard Chartered Bank as a Team Leader in Corporate Sales.
He then joined Zain Kenya (later Airtel Kenya), where he served as Corporate Sector Manager from February 2005 to June 2008, and then as Head of Corporate Enterprise and Business from July 2008 to March 2013.
Building on this, he transitioned into entrepreneurship as Managing Director of Horizon Media Investments Limited, starting in February 2013, a role he continues to hold.
In August 2017, Mark Nyamita entered elective politics and was elected Member of Parliament for Uriri Constituency, running on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket.

He was re-elected for a subsequent term beginning on 16 August 2022.
In Parliament, he serves on the Budget and Appropriations Committee and the Departmental Committee on Communication, Information and Innovation.
