Ahmed has been working as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kush Bank in South Sudan since 2022.

Besides that, he is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Kush Bank in South Sudan between 2013 and 2022.
From 2010 to 2012 Sheikh worked as the Finance and Administration Manager and Head of Programs at Oxfam in South Sudan.
Takoy also worked as the Head of Finance and Change Management at Adeso Horn Relief from 2008 to 2009.
