David Oginde is married to Nancy Oginde for 34 years and has never shied away from has publicly celebrating his wife noting that she made him believe God created her to make him complete.
Academic Background
Oginde, PhD holds a Doctor of Organizational Leadership from Regent University in the US. He studied undertook his PhD studies between 2009 and 2013.
Prior to PhD, Oginde had satisfactorily done his master’s degree in organizational leadership between 2007 and 2008 at the Pan African University (PAC).
Thereafter, he did his undergraduate degree in Architecture at the University of Nairobi between 1980 and 1986.
Alongside these academic credentials, Oginde has a postgraduate Certificate in Biblical Studies from Trinity University which he studied between 1990 and 1991 in the US.
In addition, he has a post graduate diploma from Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
David Oginde’s career journey
David is the founder of Catalead, a leadership consultancy firm he launched in 2021 shortly after ending his tenure at the helm of one of the richest and well-structured churches in Kenya with inclination towards urban populations.
While still serving as CITAM bishop, Oginde was the chancellor of Pan African Christian (PAC) University between Apr il 2011 and May 2021, approximately 10 years and 2 months.
Similarly, at PAC, Oginde also serves as an adjunct lecturer, a role he has played since 2013.
At the same time, he was a senior pastor at CITAM and was appointed the presiding bishop in May 2010, a position which he served in until December 2020 when his two terms ended and was succeeded by Bishop Calisto Odede.
Between February 2008 and February 2009, Oginde worked as an adjunct lecturer of a graduate program at Daystar University.
In August 1992, the cleric was appointed National Director Kenya Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) Kenya and served in this role until August 1997.
Prior he was the Bible Study Secretary at the same organization between August 1986 and August 1992
