George Gachagua is a Kenyan politician and is the current Member of Parliament for Ndaragwa Constituency on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.
Education
Gachagua began his education at Ngaindeithia Primary School from 1974 to 1979, completing his Certificate of Primary Education.
He proceeded to Ndaragwa High School between 1980 and 1983, where he sat for the Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) and attained a Second Division.
In 1989, he joined the Kenya Water Institute, graduating in 1992 with a Diploma in Water Engineering.
His pursuit of higher education continued at Kenyatta University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning and Management between 2005 and 2008.
In 2008, he obtained a professional certificate in Remote Sensing using Erdas 8.6 and Idrisi Kilimanjaro from the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development.
Currently, Gachagua is finalising his Master of Science in Land and Water Resources Management at Kenyatta University, having reached the thesis stage.

Professional career
Gachagua began his career in 1995 as an Assistant Hydrologist in the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, a position he held for nearly two decades until 2014.
From 2014 to 2017, he served as County Head of Water and Conservation in Kiambu County Government.
George Gachagua is also a member of the Hydrological Society of Kenya.
Political career
In 2022, Gachagua transitioned to elective politics, successfully contesting the Ndaragwa parliamentary seat.
He serves on the Departmental Committee on Blue Economy and Irrigation, where his technical background in water and environmental management provides valuable input on legislation and oversight.
