Aroko surrendered to police at the Gigiri Police Station, accompanied by his lawyer, Danstan Omari.
He denied any involvement in the April 30 shooting of the legislator near City Mortuary in Nairobi.
“I’ve just seen on X that I am wanted. I was not hiding. I am a law-abiding citizen and I have nothing to do with the death of the MP,” he said.

In one of the footages seen by The Kenya Times, he criticized Were, claiming that he understood nothing.

“These people, they don’t understand anything. They cannot even lobby for investments to come to this constituency. These are people who can say nothing in parliament,” Aroko added.
