Early Life & Education
Raphael Chimera Mwinzago was born and raised in Mombasa County, where he spent his formative years.
He began his formal education at Bomu Primary School in 1995, completing the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in 2002.
In 2005, he joined Shimo La Tewa Secondary School, where he studied until 2007, earning his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

In 2015, Chimera transitioned to public service when he was appointed Fund Manager at the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF).
His responsibilities included managing the disbursement of funds, monitoring their utilization, and ensuring accountability in projects across multiple counties.
He served in this role until 2018, developing an in-depth understanding of public finance and devolution structures.
After leaving NGAAF, Chimera returned to private legal practice, co-founding Chimera Kamotho & Co. Advocates, where he serves as a partner.
