His responsibilities included managing the disbursement of funds, monitoring their utilization, and ensuring accountability in projects across multiple counties.

He served in this role until 2018, developing an in-depth understanding of public finance and devolution structures.

After leaving NGAAF, Chimera returned to private legal practice, co-founding Chimera Kamotho & Co. Advocates, where he serves as a partner.
