Early Life & Education
Shadrack Mwiti attended Meru School, where he completed his O-Levels between 1973 and 1976.
He proceeded to Nyeri High School in 1977 for his A-Levels, graduating in 1978.
His passion for science and service led him to the University of Baghdad in 1980, where he pursued a degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, completing his studies in 1985.
Shadrack Mwiti enhanced his knowledge in management by enrolling at Moi University for a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management between 2010 and 2012.
In 2015, Shadrack Mwiti advanced into doctoral studies at Moi University, where he continues to pursue a PhD in Strategic Management, focusing on contract management.

Professional career
Shadrack Mwiti’s professional life began in the Ministry of Agriculture, where he steadily rose through the ranks.
He served as Veterinary Officer II from 1985 to 1988, Veterinary Officer I from 1988 to 1992, Senior Veterinary Officer from 1992 to 1997, and later became Assistant Director of Veterinary Services between 1997 and 2000.
His work in animal health and agricultural services earned him recognition for competence and leadership.
From 2000 to 2009, Shadrack Mwiti transitioned to be the Managing Director of Kenpack Colour Printers, before moving on to head Debra Limited as Managing Director and CEO from 2009 to 2022.
Political career
In 2022, Mwiti entered politics and successfully contested the South Imenti parliamentary seat.
His campaign agenda emphasized youth empowerment, creation of cottage industries in areas such as banana, cassava, and honey processing, as well as support for boda-boda spare parts manufacturing. He has also championed improved access to clean water, better healthcare services, education, and infrastructure.
In the National Assembly, he serves as a member of the Blue Economy and Irrigation Committee, where he contributes to discussions on sustainable resource use and economic development.
