Zachary Kwenya Thuku is a Kenyan politician and the current member of Parliament for the Kinangop Constituency in Nyandarua County.
He is serving his second term after being reelected on a Jubilee Party ticket in 2022 general election.
He was among the few Members of Parliament across Mt Kenya region who managed to withstand the United Democratic Alliance wave and retained their seats.
In 2017, he ousted Stephen Mburu, who had been elected on The National Alliance Party during the 2013 general election.

Zachary Kwenya Thuku began his education at Rugonga Primary School, completing his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education between 1983 and 1991.
He then proceeded to Ndaragwa High School, where he earned his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education between 1992 and 1995.
From 1997 to 1999, he earned a Diploma in Accounting and Computer Science at Superior College.
Zachary Kwenya continued his studies at Africa Nazarene University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management (International Economics) between 2012 and 2016.
Later, from 2019 to 2021, he pursued a Master of Science in Governance, Peace, and Security (Governance option) at the same university.
He is currently undertaking a Master of Science in International Economics at Tennessee State University in the United States.
Career life
Zachary Kwenya served as an Accounts Manager at Aquatech International Limited from 2004 to 2010.
He later became a Business Development Executive at Aquatec International Company, holding that position from 2006 to 2016.
In 2017, he entered elective politics and was elected Member of Parliament for Kinangop Constituency on a Jubilee Party ticket.
During the 12th Parliament (2017–2022), he was a member of both the Public Investments Committee and the Departmental Committee on Health.
In the later period of that term (2020–2022), he also served on the Departmental Committee on Defence and Foreign Relations.
Zachary Kwenya continues to serve in that capacity to date after being reelected in 2022.
