Sifa Investments Ltd has issued a public notice informing road users of an abnormal load being transported from Mombasa across major highways in Kenya.
The cargo, measuring 5 meters wide by 30 meters long and 6 meters high, will require special caution from motorists, particularly when overtaking.
In a notice published on November 19, Sifa Investments confirmed that the movement of the abnormal load will take place between November 19, 2025, and January 31, 2026.
“All road users using this road are requested to exercise extra care and caution when in the vicinity of this convoy from 19.11.2025 to 31.01.2026,” confirmed the statement.
Transport Schedule and Route
The movement of the heavy load is projected to take 73 days, starting from November 19.
The transportation will follow a selected route from Mombasa, passing through Mariakani, Mtito, Ikwesi, Kitui, Chaka, Nyahururu, Nakuru, Salgaa, Cheptiret, Mois Bridge, Webuye, and Malaba.
Sifa Investments Ltd advises drivers to maintain safe distances, adjust speeds, and remain alert due to the load’s size and reduced travel speed.
The notice aims to minimise disruption and enhance coordination along the affected route.

Another Mombasa-Malaba Route Affected
On November 14, Sifa Investments Ltd issued a similar notice regarding traffic disruptions affecting another route to the same destination.
Sifa Investments noted that the abnormal load measuring 5.0 meters wide and 25 meters long would move across major highways from Mombasa to Malaba.
“Extra wide and long abnormal load, 5.0 meters wide and 25 meters long, transportation. special care to be observed before overtaking,” read part of the notice.
Drivers have been advised to exercise extra caution when overtaking the convoy and always maintain a safe distance.
The affected routes will include Mombasa, Mariakani, Mtito-Salama, Machakos, Mlolongo, Maimahiu, Gilgil, Nakuru, Eldoret, Turbo, Naitiri, and Malaba.

The convoy will be travelling along the route from November 14 to December 31, 2025, and all motorists are urged to remain vigilant and patient to prevent accidents or delays.
