Renowned Kenyan media personality and entrepreneur Betty Kyallo has defended herself for dating a young boy.
In a statement on her social, Kyallo sent a message to her critics defending the said love affair with Charlie Jones.
In a rhetorical response to her critics, Kyallo questioned, “Why are you all so angry? Mimi Napambana, I’m happy.” She expressed that despite the challenges, she is content and committed to fighting for her relationship. Nudgingly, she also advised those involved with younger women—often referred to as “Wababez”—to stay focused and continue fighting to maintain their connections.
Kyallo then addressed her critics directly, urging them to mind their own business and focus on improving their happiness. She expressed frustration with those who seem overly invested in the lives of others, rhetorically asking why people spend so much time concerned with others’ affairs instead of concentrating on their own.

“Chase your happiness. Stop judging others. Chase your heartthrob. Wasting too much time, Looking and scrutinizing other people. We do not care, be happy and chase what you like. Do not listen to many. They are lonely, angry, opinionated and thoroughly dry,” Kyallo’s statement read in part.

Betty’s relationship has drawn various reactions from her fans, most of which seem to align with her decision.

Notably, Bakary J. Kennie commented saying, “Those criticizing Betty have low self-esteem and are bitter. After all, she’s happy. You all can advise her if you are doing better, but probably not.”

Similarly, Betty Kyallo also acceded with her sentiments citing, “Yes girl, everyone should fight their situations.

However, on the contrary, a handful of fans have questioned the age difference citing that marrying at the right age should be upheld.
