Citizen TV has announced the replacement of Francis Gachuri on their Thursday segment News Gang. Sam Gituku, a veteran broadcast journalist, has been chosen to fill Gachuri’s spot on the popular show.
Gituku is known for his ability to break down complex topics and numbers in an easily understandable way to the audience. He will join the News Gang team alongside founding members Linus Kaikai, Jamila Mohamed, and Yvonne Okwara. Gituku’s “Sam Sense” segment will surely be a hit with viewers.

Meanwhile, Royal Media Services (RMS) has also announced the replacement of Gachuri on the Kiririmbi show. Mike Njenga and Wangeci wa Muriuki have been chosen to take over the show from Gachuri, who recently left the station after 17 years to become the Director of Communications at the Ministry of Interior.

Njenga and Muriuki have expressed excitement about taking over the show and promised to give it their all. The Kiririmbi show will surely be in good hands with these two experienced hosts.
Gachuri’s departure from Citizen TV was marked by a farewell speech on the News Gang, where he thanked his colleagues, bosses, and viewers for their support over the years. His colleagues expressed sadness at his departure and happiness for him in his new role.
