Biography

Kerry Martin is a radio personality as well as a seasoned podcaster. Having been in the media industry for a decade, Kerry has made notable achievements and won prestigious awards.

Career

Kerry began his journey in media in 2015. He joined Homeboyz radio as a show host where he worked as a presenter as well as a voice-over artist. He hosted the evening drive show known as the ‘boys club’ alongside Lotan Salapei and Mike Wachira.

In May 2024, Kerry announced his departure from  Homeboyz after close to a decade at the station.  

“It’s been nine years on Homeboyz Radio. Today is a special day for me because it’s my last day at the boys’ club, and it’s my last day on Homeboyz Radio. I will miss you guys so much, but don’t worry, you’ll still see me around,” shared Kerry Martin.

Kerry moved to Kiss FM, where he hosts the morning breakfast show ‘The Morning Kiss’ to date. He hosts the show together with Sheila Kwamboka, popularly known as  Kwambox in what is referred to as a grand r-union,  as the two had previously hosted a show together at Homeboyz Radio.

Besides being on the radio, Kerry is a podcast host. He hosts The Boxpod Podcast together with Sheila Kwamboka ‘Kwambox and Joyce Maina. The podcast talks about a range of topics from current affairs to trends, to news and entertainment.

Kerry juggles many roles in the entertainment industry including being an influencer an MC and a voice-over artist.

Achievements

Over the decade in the industry, Kerry has made outstanding achievements with the most recent being the Kshs.10 million deal with Value Added Talent (VAT).

He was also appointed as the new Chief Operations Officer at  VAT,  a dynamic agency specializing in talent management, media tours, and event coordination.

Martin was crowned Best Radio Personality in East and Southern Africa at the MVAA Awards 2024. He also won the Pulse Best Dressed Male Influencer 2024.

Before joining the media industry, Kerry worked in the flight industry. He worked as a flight attendant at Kenya Airways from 2010 to 2012.

Education Background

His educational background is in aviation. He is a certified private pilot with a Private Pilot License from Ninety-Nines Flying School. He has also trained as an airline cabin crew and an in-flight attendant at the Kenya Airways Pride Centre.

Kerry went to Turkish Light Academy for his secondary school education between 2005 and 2008.

Kerry Martin once stated that he has been married before to an ex-lover with whom he has a child, but as of now he is single, and he said in an interview that he does not believe in getting married.
