Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens has defended Singer Shenseea after a fan criticized her for her disappointing performance at Raha Fest in December 2024.
The fan suggested that Shenseea wasn’t proud to perform in Kenya, as she performed for only ten minutes and didn’t share any posts about her visit. He also called her out for failing to eat local Kenyan dishes.
“Her vibe was just off. She did not post on TikTok about being in Kenya, while she posted about being in other countries. She was eating fufu instead of eating local dishes such as pilau and other dishes,”
The fan advised that Kenyans should focus on their own local artists and international artists who love Kenya such as Etana and Konshens.
Being an artist does not make Shenseea Wonder Woman
“It is high time Kenyans celebrate their own artists and celebrate artists who want to be here like Konshens, people like Etana, and Ya levis, not people who think they are doing you a favour by being here,” stated the fan.
Konshens came out to defend Shenseea saying she had to leave the stage following a looming security risk.

“The comment alone explains your mindset. So she should have ignored the people assigned to ensure her safety and risked her life? You think being an artiste makes you Wonder Woman?,” stated Konshens.
He also debunked the claim by the fan that Shenseea does not love Kenya saying she continued to stay in Kenya after the show. He also condemned him for spreading a divisive narrative.
What led to chaos at Raha Fest
“My Kenyan people are smart and you can not twist their brains with your divisive narrative. She did not even leave after the show, she stayed in Kenya. Kenya loves global music and global musicians love Kenya,” added Konshens.
