About Churchill Show
The Churchill Show made its comeback in 2024 after a two-year break, with its timeslot on Saturday 8 p.m. The show is led by Daniel Ndambuki, popularly known as the father of modern Kenyan comedy.
The Churchill Show first aired on NTV in 2007 and ended in May 2022. The show aired from 8:00-9:00 pm every Sunday until 2018 when it was paused to give room for the 2018 World Cup.
Daniel Ndambuki left NTV and moved the show to TV47 in 2022 after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Comedy Career Background of Churchill
Ndambuki started as an actor, and he was featured in the popular shows “Red Corner” and “Redyculass” alongside Kajairo.
In 1995, he started the Laugh Industry, where he scripted comedy content for audiences. However, the journey was not easy as the comedy industry did not have sustainable returns.
Additionally, he auditioned in 2008, for a role in a KBC show, and he landed a role as a drunk Bwana Asava in Kisulisuli.
He would later launch his stand-up comedy show, “Churchill Show,” which airs on NTV. It quickly gained popularity and has attracted a large viewership across Kenya and beyond.
Through Churchill’s show, he has nurtured many comedians who are now popular such as Eric Omondi, Terence Creative, and MCA Tricky among others. He also started Churchill Academy, to nurture young talent in the comedy industry.
