The death of a woman allegedly found in the home of Kikuyu singer Mirugi Dishon has sparked controversy and concern.
The woman, identified as Elizabeth Githinji, was a pastor and was found dead in Dishon’s house in Kahawa West last weekend.
According to reports, Githinji had sent a text message to her sister expressing fear for her life. A whistleblower on Facebook, Simon Muthiora, alleged that Githinji was upset because Dishon had moved on to another lover and she had invested a lot of money in the musician. Muthiora claimed that Githinji texted her sister moments before her death that she was unsafe.
Dishon claims that Githinji had visited him in Kahawa West to deliver a suit and left her washing clothes as he ran errands. On returning, Dishon did not find her and resorted to searching for her whereabouts. He claimed he found her hanging in his wardrobe with a bed sheet around her neck.
The distraught Dishon took down her body and carried it to his car heading to Jacaranda Maternity Home to see if he could save her life. Unfortunately, he was informed she was already dead.
Reports indicate that Dishon attempted to take the body to KU mortuary but was unsuccessful, leading him to drive around the city with the body in his car as police stations refused to accept it, fearing he had tampered with the crime scene.
The circumstances surrounding Githinji’s death remain controversial, and the police are investigating the matter. Her death has gone viral, with many expressing condolences and concern.
