Kenyan rapper Stoopid Boy has checked into a rehabilitation program a few weeks after opening up on his struggle with drugs.
Taking to social media, the rapper stated that he was on his way to shop for a few necessities before checking into rehab for three months.

He announced his resolve to quit alcohol and thanked comedian Oga Obinna who had promised to enroll the artist in rehab.
Stoopid Boy expresses desire to reform
“I have decided to quit alcohol because alcohol has locked me out of many opportunities. I am now going to buy clothes that I will be using at rehab,” stated the rapper.

The ‘G bag na Jug’ hitmaker expressed his desire to reform during an interview on Obinna TV.

“If I can get someone to help me repackage myself, I would be happy. Even if it means going back to school, I am ready. I am more than ready to go to rehab so that I get my mind back in order,” stated the singer.
He revealed that he has been struggling financially, a situation he says has brought him so much criticism as an artist.
“Since I released that song, I have been victimized for lacking money. When I get into a matatu, people wonder which artist is this that does not have money. But I have accepted myself and my situation,” stated Stoopid Boy.
Rapper traces drinking habits to his roots
According to Stoopid Boy, his drugs and substance abuse are something he has struggled with for a long time, and he traces it to his grandfather who he says was an alcoholic.
He also revealed that he has been facing challenges after his wife left him.

“I have quit music officially. I don’t want anything to do with music as it has messed me up and I am unable to handle it. My wife fled with everything that I owned and left me with two children, and that is why I want nothing to do with women,” added the singer.
Stoopid Boy came to the limelight in 2024, after the release of his song ‘G Bag Na Jug’ which has over 1.7 million views on YouTube.
