Kenyan singer and rapper Stoopid Boy has opened up on his struggle with alcoholism and depression.
Speaking at an online interview on Obinna TV, Stoopid Boy stated he is ready to go to rehab and is open to any kind of help. He stated that the most help he needs at the moment is someone who can help him rebrand.
“If I can get someone to help me repackage myself I would be happy. Even if it means going back to school, I am ready. I am more than ready to go to rehab so that I get my mind back in order,” stated the singer.
Stoopid Boy victimised for lacking money
The ‘G bag Na Jug’ hitmaker revealed that he is struggling financially and has been receiving a lot of criticism for being a struggling artist.

“Since I released that song, I have been victimized for lacking money. When I get into a matatu, people wonder which artist is this that does not have money. But I have accepted myself and my situation,” stated Stoopid Boy.
Stoopid boy stated that he has officially quit singing attributing the situation he is going through to music. He also added that he wants nothing to do with women after his wife left him with two children.
Reason for being an alcoholic
“I have quit music officially. I don’t want anything to do with music as it has messed me up and I am unable to handle it. My wife fled with everything that I owned and left me with two children, and that is why I want nothing to do with women,” added the singer.

The rapper has been battling drug and substance abuse for a while and had earlier hinted at going to rehab. He has previously attributed his drinking problem to his roots; stating his grandfather was an alcoholic as well as a musician.
Stoopid Boy came to the limelight after the release of his song ‘G Bag Na Jug’ which has over 1.7 million views on YouTube. His other songs include ‘Acha Initoke’ and ‘Tembeza Utakam’.
