Tanzanian artist Zuhura Othman Soud, popularly known as Zuchu, revealed on Friday, December 6, how her colleague Diamond Platnumz helped bring her into the music limelight.
In an interview with Citizen TV, Zuchu explained that when Diamond introduced her to the public, he sacrificed many of his own projects to ensure she could establish herself in the music industry.
“When he was releasing me, he sacrificed his projects for an entire year to focus on my career. That was a massive sacrifice, and I am truly thankful. I consider him my hero,” Zuchu acknowledged.
Zuchu further noted that Diamond Platnumz, the founder of the Wasafi Label, has not only mentored her but also many other Tanzanian artists who have gone on to achieve immense success.

“When the time comes, and he is no longer with us, his name will remain. When you mention Harmonize, you cannot do so without mentioning Diamond Platnumz.
The same goes for Rayvanny, Lava Lava, myself, and many others. The list goes on. I think he is very important and we as East Africans we have to tell him while he is still here,” the Tanzanian songbird said.
