Thames Valley Police in the United Kingdom have arrested Prince Andrew on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
According to a statement dated February 19, 2026, the Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright stated that the recent revelations appeared to show that Andrew sent Jeffrey Epstein potentially confidential documents while serving as a UK trade envoy.
“UK police arrest former prince Andrew on suspicion of misconduct New revelations last week appeared to show Andrew sent Jeffrey Epstein potentially confidential documents during his time as a UK trade envoy,”
She added that they will cooperate with interested parties to investigate the alleged offense and promised to provide updates to the public at the appropriate time.
“It is important that we protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation as we work with our partners to investigate this alleged offence,” said Oliver
“We understand the significant public interest in this case, and we will provide updates at the appropriate time.”
Prince Andrew’s Involvement in Jeffrey Epstein Case
During his official visit to Asia in November 2010, Andrew appeared to share reports via email on Vietnam, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Singapore.

He also reportedly sent the American financier Jeffrey Epstein details of the trip, on which he was accompanied by Epstein’s business associates, along with investment opportunities.
This resulted in him being stripped of his titles after one of Epstein’s victims alleged she had been trafficked to have sex with him.
“It may take some time due to the volume of material and the complexity of international jurisdictions, but policing and its law enforcement partners are taking this matter extremely seriously, and will assess all information thoroughly,” read part of the statement.
UK investigating Jeffrey Epstein Case
Several UK police forces have confirmed that they are assessing reports that appear to link the former prince to Epstein.

Police in Surrey, southeastern England, also stated that they were interested in reports concerning human trafficking and sexual assaults on a minor that occurred between 1994 and 1996 in Virginia Water.a
“After reviewing our systems using the limited information available to us, we found no evidence of these allegations being reported to Surrey Police.”
“We therefore encourage anyone with information in relation to these allegations to report this to us.”
