The Human Relations Chief at data tech company Astronomer, Kristin Cabot, reportedly resigned following the viral Coldplay “Kiss Cam” video.
In a statement on July 25, 2025, the tech firm Astronomer confirmed that she has resigned from her role as Chief People Officer.
“Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer. She has resigned,” a spokesperson for Astronomer said.
As of July 24, both Cabot and Byron are no longer listed on Astronomer’s leadership page.
Her resignation came just days after CEO Andy Byron also left the company.
The leadership shakeup followed a viral moment at a Coldplay concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on July 16.
Ex-CEO Andy Byron Resigns
In a post shared on X on July 19, the company announced that Byron had resigned and that the Board of Directors had accepted it.
Additionally, he posted a public apology to his wife, children and family.
“I want to acknowledge the moment that’s been circulating online, and the disappointment it’s caused,” read part of the statement.
“What was supposed to be a night of music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake playing out on a very public stage. I want to sincerely apologize to my wife, my family, and the team at Astronomer. You deserve better from me as a partner, as a father, and as a leader.”

Kristin Cabot & Andy Byron Viral Video
A short clip, which has gained over 124 million views on TikTok, shows Andy and Cabot embracing before quickly pulling apart and slipping out of frame after noticing themselves on the venue’s Kiss Cam displayed on the Gillette Stadium Jumbotron.
The matter escalated after Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin said to the crowd:
“Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”
The clip was widely shared across social media platforms, turned into memes, and became the subject of talks worldwide.

Astronomer Tech Firm Breaks Silence
Pete DeJoy, now serving as interim CEO, acknowledged on Monday that the company has been under an unusual and surreal level of public scrutiny in recent days.
In a LinkedIn post, he noted that although the circumstances were far from ideal, Astronomer had unexpectedly become a household name.
“As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding,” the company statement read.
“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”
Additionally stating that the company has attracted more media attention following the Kiss Cam incident than many firms have in their entire existence.
