Amos Rono, Bomet man whose wedding was cancelled last minute has advised couples to stop complaining when they are not taken out on dates for Valentine’s Day.
Speaking to the press, Rono stated that he was hurt when his fiancé cancelled their wedding, but he had since recollected himself and was doing well.
He advised couples who had been heartbroken to follow his example and relax.
At the same time, he encouraged couples to be patient with their partners on Valentine’s Day even when their expectations are not met instead of rushing and ending their relationships.
“If you are not taken out for Valentine’s Day, don’t complain. I was also hurt, and I did not worry too much about it. I am relaxed at home, and I am not going out with anyone.
“Given that I was heartbroken because my wedding did not happen. If the person you expect to take you out for Valentine’s does not have money to do that, don’t worry about it. And do not be mad and end the relationship,” he said.

“God said that we have to love each other and be there for one another. Don’t be mad and look for someone else because your lover did not take you out. And do not compare your Valentine’s experience with other couples,” he said.
Bomet Man on Suicide and Heartbreaks
Also, he asked couples to steer away from suicidal thoughts because of heartbreaks explaining that every life was meaningful and worthy.
Rono said that Valentine’s will always be there every year and if this year does not go as expected, one could always try the following year.
“Do not go to the extent of committing suicide because your lover did not take you out for valentines, if you were not taken out this year, next year you will have another chance.
“I want everyone to know that they matter. Death will come but do not go looking for it. There are so many people who depend on you,” he added.

However, he welcomed any interested lady to reach out to him through his social media platforms for any further discussions.
“I do not have any plans of getting a wife. Although I had said that I would marry again after four days but I am forced to extend that period until six to eight months. I want to settle and find a permanent job.
“After that I will come back to find a wife. I will make sure that I enjoy myself on valentine’s day with my wife,” he explained.
Rono’s 23-year-old fiancé’ Nelly Chepkoech cancelled their wedding hours before the event on Saturday, December 10.
Although Nelly defended herself saying that it had not been cancelled but postponed, Rono indicated that his then bride to be had told him that she met another man and therefore could not marry him.
