Boniface Mwangi’s wife Njeri Mwangi has broken silence over his wellbeing, days after the activist deactivated his social media accounts.
Speaking for the first time since Boniface shared his last post, Njeri said that their family has received a lot of love and support from Kenyans.
Additionally, she has apologized for remaining unreachable, adding that she has received several messages which she has not yet responded to.
Njeri has asked Kenyans and friends to bear with her as the family goes through the difficult time.
“Friends and comrades, my apologies for the unanswered calls and un-responded texts. Please forgive and bear with me. We feel your utmost pure outpouring of love and support. We appreciate all of it. Thank you.” she stated.
However, she has not issued any update on the status of the wellness of Boniface Mwangi, who had left a cryptic message about his mental wellness.

Kenyans Share Concerns about Boniface Mwangi’s Wellbeing
The statement comes at a time when activists across the country have lamented about being targeted for holding the government accountable.
Boniface had been very vocal about the Gen Z led protests across the country, rallying Kenyans to join in the demonstrations.
Earlier on Saturday, August 3, Mwangi announced that he had been overwhelmed by the expectations and troubles of others.
He hinted at having suicidal thoughts asking people to celebrate their lives.
“There is nothing selfish about suicide. Someone gets to a stage in life, and they decide this is it for them. They’re ready for the next world,
“The pain, troubles, and expectations of others in this world is too much. They exit the stage. Celebrate their life. End of story,” the activist posted on his official Facebook account.
Moreover, Activist and journalist Hanifa Farsafi confirmed that Boniface Mwangi had deactivated his accounts explaining that he had admitted that attacks from the government and other individuals got to him.
“I spoke to him juzi (the previous day), asked if he was okay and he mentioned how the attacks are always getting to him, and my heart is so broken for him,
“Why are some of y’all genuinely like this? Why? This man has always stood up for people bro why do you guys want to see him suffer so badly?? Maan, I feel so bad about it,” she stated.
