Fuxin Engineering Limited, the company behind the establishment of Enzi Heights apartments has issued a warning over a Chinese national who is conning unsuspecting members of the public.
According to the company, the Chinese, named Qiu Jie, has entered into business deals with unsuspecting buyers and investors, while masquerading as a member of the management of the apartments.
Additionally, the directors of the companies indicated that the man has been sending out letters and emails to prospective customers with the company’s letterheads, seals and stamps yet he is not an employee of the company.
“It has come to the attention of the Directors of Fuxin Engineering Limited and Enzi Heights Apartments Management Company Limited that one Chinese national by the name Qiu Jie has entered into business transactions with unsuspecting members of the public,
“While purporting to represent Fuxin Engineering Limited and Enzi Heights Apartments Management Company Limited,” a statement from the management read in part.

Fuxin Takes Stance on Association with the Chinese
The two companies clarified that the foreigner was neither their director, employee nor an agent. Also, they indicated that Qiu was not authorizes to transact business on their behalf.
Subsequently, those dealing with the Chinese national were do so at their own risk.
“We wish to notify the general public that the said QIU JIE is not a director, employee, agent or authorized representative of Fuxin Engineering Limited and Enzi Heights Apartments Management Company Limited and is therefore not authorized to transact any business on behalf of the two companies,” added the statement.
Enzi Heights apartments are luxurious houses on sale located along Mombasa Road next to Nextgen mall.

Warning on Fake Estate Agents
The Estate Agents Registration Board warned on March 15, against engaging in business activities with false real estate agents, adding that all agents ought to be registered by the board.
Additionally, the board asked members on the public to report any cases where unregistered agents were found operating. When working with an agent, Kenyans were advised to ask them to produce a certificate permitting them to operate.
“All consumers of the Estate Agents services are hereby notified that the Estate Agents Act Cap 533 Laws of Kenya makes it mandatory for all Estate Agents
“That is ‘persons who by way of business negotiate for or otherwise act in relation to the selling, purchasing or letting of land and buildings erected thereon’ to be registered with the Estate Agents Registration Board (EARB),” said the board.
