President Uhuru’s Comment
President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned with the family of Msando saying he was shocked and saddened by his death.
In his condolence note, Uhuru asked the public to stop speculations and let the investigation agencies perform their duty.
“Let our prayer direct our action. Chris was a man who gave himself to the service of his country, and its institutions.
It is appropriate, then, to let those institutions handle the investigation, the better to bring the doers of this foul deed to justice.
Careless speculation in this time of grief only makes the work of investigators harder, and it only adds to the pain of those who loved him,” said Uhuru.
In June 2018, President Uhuru appointed Eva Buyu, Msando’s wife as a member of the Export Processing Zones Authority for a period of three years.
