Chris Msando’s mother Mary Aloo has died at 87, according to her eldest son Peter Msando.
Her family confirmed that Mary Aloo passed on early Friday morning following a multiple organ failure.

The deceased was on Thursday admitted in ICU at Avenue Hospital in Kisumu at around 1pm.
“She had been hospitalized in Busia with high blood pressure and sugar problem,” said Peter.

He added that “She was given some medicine to stabilize the pressure but went low and she became hypotensive.”
Afterwards, the family rushed her to Avenue hospital in Kisumu, where she passed on.

“She went into coma on Thursday, and we rushed her to Avenue Hospital in Kisumu where she was admitted to ICU around 1pm on Thursday but unfortunately succumbed at 1am today (Friday),” said.

Who was Mary Aloo Msando
Chris Msando, who worked with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission as its ICT manager before his demise in 2017, was Mary’s last-born son.
In a previous interview on National television Mary expressed her unending pain since the passing on of her son, days to 2017 general election.
“Since Chris died, I have been in so much pain. Even his children have been really disturbed. We are yet to get justice in court,” she noted.
“We have never received any information from the government regarding the death of my son… We have even never been called to court over the issue,” she told Ramogi TV.

“I am troubled. I have not been eating well since July. I am sick because my son who used to take care of me is not there.
Now, I have only one plea to the government, tell me who killed my son and why,” she added.
Msando went missing on Friday July 28, 2017, before his body was later found in a thicket in Kikuyu, alongside the remains of a female companion.
Before his death, Msando had expressed confidence that the election would not be rigged because the electronic voting system he had helped develop could not be hacked.
Probe into Murder
Likewise, postmortem conducted on the late IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando’s body revealed that he was strangled to death.
The autopsy was conducted by the Government Chief Pathologist Johansen Oduor and Bessie Byakika for the family at the Lee Funeral Home.
” Strangulation was the cause of death,” Dr Odour said.
According to the pathologist, Msando’s back had deep scratches, a clear indication of being dragged on a rough surface or scratches. His right hand too had deep cuts made with a sharp object.
