Citizen TVs couple duo Rashid Abdala and Lulu Hassan have officially launched a new Telenovela series named Zari.
The duo on Monday 23rd evening held a premier launch of the show which attracted top government officials including Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Youth Affairs and Sports, Ababu Namwamba.
Other notable individuals present during the Zari Premier Launch at KICC on Monday evening are Nairobi County Woman Representative Esther Passaris and Kenya Film, and classification Board Chief Executive officer Timothy Owase.
Zari on Maisha Magic
The Kenyan Telenovela Zari which has been produced by the celebrated couple Rashid Abdalla and Lulu Hassan of Jiffy Pictures will be airing on Maisha Magic Plus.

Additionally, the show will be airing every Monday to Friday at 8:30 Pm.
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris applauded the producers Rashid Abdala and Lulu Hassan on the new captivating local telenovela.
“Congratulations to the dynamic duo, Rashid Abdalla and Lulu Hassan on the grand premiere of their new telenovela,” she stated.
Similarly, Passaris described the telenovela as one with a unique storyline.
“A captivating twist on the Cinderella tale, where a young woman’s rightful family and fortune are hidden from her,” said Passaris via her X account.
Citizen TV Celebrities Present
Likewise, the star-studded occasion was graced by television personalities, among them Citizen News anchors Jeff Koinange, and Hassan Mugambi.
Zari cast also graced the occasion including Sarah Hassan who is the lead character, Brenda Wairimu, and Yasmin Said.
Other crew members include Jackie Matubia, Nyakundi Isaboke, Ronald Ndubi, Mike Makori, Angie Magio, Dennis Musyoka, Carol Radull, Julioh Wachira, among others.
Zari Telenovela
Nonetheless, the telenovela Zari tells the story of a young woman whose rightful family and fortune are stolen from her by her deceitful adopted family.

Born to a wealthy family, Nina is given away by her grandfather to be raised by his servant Bosco and his wife Fridah who swore to keep this secret.
Years later, when the opportunity presents itself for Nina to claim her rightful place, Bosco and Fridah pass off their biological daughter Lola as Nina, denying Nina a chance to meet her real family and live the life she was meant to live.
Sarah Hassan, and Brenda Wairimu play the lead roles as Nina and Lola respectively.
