Mining and Blue Economy Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho has caused a frenzy on social media after stepping out in shoes worth a fortune.
The CS appeared at an online interview on Obina TV,wearing high-end shoes. The designer shoes are believed to be Christian Louboutin Simon Derby Shoes that cost $1,250 which is approximately Ksh161,700.

The shoes have a touch of elegance
Like all Chris Louboutin shoes, the Simon Derby ones have an iconic red sole that adds a touch of elegance.
Joho is ranked among the richest Cabinet Secretaries in President William Ruto’s government. Appearing before the  Committee on Appointments, he intimated his net worth is valued at Ksh 2.3 billion.

He said the wealth comes from his properties and businesses that he owns. The CS’s opulent lifestyle is known something he says he is careful not to flaunt about.
“I have been wearing them (watches) even before I became MP, long before but I know how to balance. I don’t have to wear it to show off. What value will it give to anybody? I enjoy wearing them,” said the CS.
Joho calls out unsupportive Kenyans
Speaking at the interview, Joho called out Kenyans for failing to support their own. He drew examples from African Union Chairmanship bid saying it is shameful for Kenyans to support another candidate instead of their own.

He further talked about the recent scuffle between Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz and Kenya’s Willy Paul saying he fully supports the latter. He pledged his support to the artist saying in case things get thick, he should call him immediately.
Hassan Joho served as the Governor of Mombasa County for two terms between 2013 and 2022 and has been a long-serving senior ODM party member.
