President William Ruto attended a wedding ceremony on Saturday, December 21, which was his birthday.
Ruto attended the union of Fatma and Zakir in Mombasa alongside Environment CS Aden Duale and Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir.
Zakir is the son of businessman Imran Khosala while bride is the granddaughter of former MP Kisauni Said Hemed.
“Accompanying President alongside other distinguished guests, we joined family and friends to celebrate the beautiful union of Fatma and Zakir; the son of our friend and the esteemed businessman Imran Khosala while bride is the granddaughter of our elder, leader and former MP Kisauni Said Hemed,” Duale said.
Speaking after the wedding, Duale congratulated the couple, extending heartfelt congratulations and prayers for a lifetime of happiness as they begin this new chapter.
“May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and join you together in goodness,” he wrote on X.
Nassir equally extended congratulations to the couple together with his friend Khosla.
“It is with immense joy and heartfelt gratitude that I extend my warmest congratulations to my dear friend, Imran Khosla, on the blessed occasion of the Nikkah of your beloved son, Zakir,” Nassir said.
He explained that the union is a testament to the strong values of faith and family that Khosla has instilled in his son.
Nassir said it was a privilege to attend the wedding which was celebrated with grace and dignity.
“I am deeply honored that this joyous occasion was graced by the presence of President Ruto and the Environment CS Aden Duale, reflecting the high regard in which you and your family are held across the nation,” he said.
Diamond Platnumz Performed During at the Wedding
Tanzanian Musician Diamond Platnumz was the main artist during the wedding.
In videos, Diamond can be seen arriving at the event and allowing his fans to take selfies with him as he walked in. Additional videos and photos were shared of him on stage.
There were several other popular bongo musicians, including Nandy and D Vice.

Rachel Ruto Birthday Message
First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto wrote heartwarming message as he celebrated his 58th birthday.
In a statement on X, Rachel celebrated Ruto for his dedication to the nation and as a father.
She also mentioned that Ruto’s birthday coincides with their wedding anniversary.
