DCI Arrests Mwangaza’s Son & Brother

This comes a day after officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested Mwangaza’s son Timothy Kinoti and her brother Murangiri Kenneth in connection with Sniper’s death.

The two were among the five suspects arrested on Thursday, January 4 and booked in different police stations within Nairobi and Kiambu.

Besides, DCI said they were arrested alongside Kenneth Mutua, Fredrick Muriuki, and Frankline Kimathi.

It is alleged that the five contacted Sniper who was Mwangaza’s strong critic, informing him that he would be meeting the county boss to reconcile and work together.

Besides, she explained that her home is under CCTV surveillance and detectives had not requested for the footage.

“The security agencies are conducting the investigations and I believe ‘Sniper’ will get justice. The official residence of the governor has numerous CCTV cameras, but nobody has requested the footage,” Mwangaza said.

Furthermore, Mwangaza accused her political opponents of using the bloggers death to gain popularity.

“Leaders should avoid politicizing a death because there is a grieving family. It is unfortunate people try to gain political mileage as the family grieves,” she said.
