Previous Police Report
A police report dated March 22 showed that Kitosi was involved in a traffic road accident while on duty near Kikuyu Police Station.
However, there were no injuries recorded as a result of the accident.
As per police OB report, the DCI officer was then involved in an argument with unidentified people about the accident.
“He had been involved in a non-injury traffic accident within Kikuyu Market near Kikuyu Police Station on March 16, at about 0400hrs,” the police statement read in part.

“Preliminary investigations reveal that he was assaulted by known persons after an altercation over the non-injury road traffic accident,” the report indicated.
The report also showed that the officer complained of abdominal pains after the assault even before he was admitted at Nairobi West hospital.
As such, the DCI officer’s brother Reinhard Kitosi made the report at the Dagoretti police station following the death of the officer.
His body was taken to Umash funeral services mortuary and was viewed by the family on March 23.
However, questions have been raised on why the police waited for six days until the officer died before taking any action against the accused.
