The father of the 15-year-old Kilungu Boys High School student recounted the disturbing moment he learned of his son’s demise.
Emmanuel Kirimi enrolled at the school on January 15 and died under mysterious circumstances only 10 days later, leaving his family grappling with grief and unanswered questions.
In an interview with the media, the father revealed that he received a call from the school administration, instructing him to meet the principal.
A conversation that would reveal the heartbreaking news of his son’s death.
Arriving at the school, the father was met by the principal, alongside three others, the school deputy, a reverend, and a bishop.

The reverend disclosed that Emmanuel had battled with prolonged stomachache and diarrhea before dying.
“He told me they had been treating my child, but on the fateful day, his condition worsened to the point of him collapsing,” stated the distraught father.
According to the father’s account, his son was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival and his body transferred to the mortuary.
So heart wrenching was the revelation that the father collapsed in the principal’s office.
“I was unconscious for a while, but even in my state, I could hear them talk about having cleared with the DCI,” he said.
After regaining consciousness, the shattered father was led to the morgue by school administrators.
“What annoyed me the most was that no one informed me when my child fell sick. Secondly, they took the body to the mortuary before I came to the school,” he lamented.

Kilungu Boy’s High School principal’s account
Speaking to the media, the school principal confirmed that the student who passed on fell sick on Thursday and succumbed to the illness while receiving treatment.
“This student fell sick, and we did what we could rushing him to the hospital to see whether we could save his life,” noted the principal.
On the other hand, medical superintendent at Kilungu hospital where the boy was taken to said, “He was brought in as a body, he was dead on arrival accompanied by a teacher, so no treatment took place in our facility nor did any resuscitation take place in our facility.”
In a message to parents addressing the situation, the school principal called for calm.
